Thousands Protest in Illinois to keep Gun Owner Names List Private

The Illinois State Rifle Association has planned a Gun Owners Lobby Day and the focus on the rally this year is the Right To Privacy for gun owners. (IL State Capitol Building Left) Story

Personally, I believe that the State of IL should end the FOID Gun Ownership Card Program in favor of the method EVERY OTHER STATE IN THE REPUBLIC has chosen. US citizens have the right to own firearms, proof of citizenship is sufficient in nearly every other jurisdiction.

Why do you believe that citizens should not be "allowed" to own firearms?

    I believe in thourough background checks for gun ownership. That's it.
