Overview of the US weakness to Chinese Cyber War
From the outset of the conflict, PLA cyber-warfare efforts were disruptive activities, highly visible to allied political and military leaders. They preceded formal hostilities, which would be marked by the sinking of a Singaporean guided missile frigate in the South China Sea on 5 September. The cyber attack had a rolling start, rather than being a bolt from the blue. When the PRC did finally choose to make use of kinetic options, the cyberwar was already well underway.
For the American and Japanese leadership, in particular, there was enormous trouble in employing even rudimentary information technologies effectively during the first days of the war. Personal computers, radio networks, satellite receivers, control systems, and battlefield communication hardware failed, often making it impossible for allied commanders to share intelligence and conduct joint planning. Only a few dedicated, high-end, satellite-based communication channels were able to connect American field commanders in Japan and Hawaii with the Pentagon. But even these links were vulnerable, with the PLAAF’s antisatellite missile attacks on 6 September producing enormous damage to US telecom satellite coverage over the Pacific. Link
What do my readers think about the plausibility of such a scenario?

I Think I'm In Love... With a Kel-tek Shotty
Kel-Tek, a company famous for their light weight concealed carry pistols has just released more information about their bull-pup shotgun dubbed the KSG. The company page can be seen here and she is beautiful.
She comes in at only 7 pounds, shortest legal configuration for both barrel and overall body. With a... wait for it, 14 round double tube magazine. A pump action with a unique round ejection system that ejects round DOWN so it is usable either left or right handed and you don't have to worry about hitting your range partner with hot brass. At only $800 I do indeed already have my name on the waiting list to pick one up.
Range report forthcoming. But for now take a look at the trial video:

Thousands Protest in Illinois to keep Gun Owner Names List Private
The Illinois State Rifle Association has planned a Gun Owners Lobby Day and the focus on the rally this year is the Right To Privacy for gun owners. (IL State Capitol Building Left) Story
Personally, I believe that the State of IL should end the FOID Gun Ownership Card Program in favor of the method EVERY OTHER STATE IN THE REPUBLIC has chosen. US citizens have the right to own firearms, proof of citizenship is sufficient in nearly every other jurisdiction.
Why do you believe that citizens should not be "allowed" to own firearms?

The Beloved M1911 - Official Utah State Gun
The bill to make the Browning M1911 the official gun breezed through a committee hearing this week and is scheduled to be debated by the full House as early as Wednesday.
Republican Rep. Carl Wimmer said the state should have the gun as one of its state symbols to honor John Browning, a Utah native who invented it in 1911. Story
God bless Utah. In honor of this blessed commemoration I offer a small selection of fine M1911's from some great collections. Enjoy.
